Corporate History
Mr. Danny Collette (now retired) and Mr. Sam Edwardsen formed Valour Insurance in 1986. Mr. Reuben Edwardsen (Sam’s twin brother) then joined in 1989 as an active partner. In 1992, we added our third location, 466 St. Anne’s Road, formerly known as Tri-West Insurance Agency. Mr. Herb Schulz and Mr. Sam Uskiw originally started this agency in December 1979.
As of November 2005, we merged with Sunrise Insurance to form our fourth location at 96 Browning Blvd.
In the past 25 years, Valour Tri-West Insurance has grown substantially. We have built our business on extended hours, excellent service, and above-average product. Whether you are looking for home, commercial, trucking/cargo, auto, life, or travel insurance, we have the market for you.
We proudly represent: MPI, Wawanesa Insurance Co., Portage Mutual Insurance Co., Aviva Insurance Co. of Canada, Optimum Frontier Insurance Co., and ING Insurance Co.
We also have specialty markets available for those unique businesses. During recent years our Keewatin location has been acquiring large trucking fleets due in part to its close proximity to the Industrial Park and ease of parking.
